Retezat SkyRace Intersport is a skyrunning competition taking place in the “Retezatul Mic” mountains inside the Retezat National Park.

Courses:

-Custura: highly difficult, 28km length and 2300m elevation gain, only for well prepared athletes, with consistent alpine experience and good orienteering skills, the ones who enjoy extreme challenges or willing to test their limits.

Cutoff time 1: Plesa, 6km/700m:: 1h 45min.

Cutoff time 2: Buta Chalet, 13km/1300m: 4h.

Final limit time: 8h.

- Buta: difficult, 23km length and 1400m elevation gain for well prepared athletes, with alpine experience and orienteering skills, the ones who enjoy challenges or willing to test their limits.

Cutoff time 1: Plesa, 6km/700m: 1h 45min.

Final limit time: 6h.

- Valea Marii: easy, 7km length and 300m elevation gain, recommended to less experienced runners, who wish to get used to outdoor races, to trekking lovers and families with children.

Final limit time: 2h.

All the courses will have support points (hydration/food/control), which will be marked, visible, and will have to be passed in order of their respective number.

Who can participate?

- Custura and Buta courses are destined for participants over the age of 18, being medically, physically and mentally able to sustain this kind of effort.

- Exception: juniors, as part of sport clubs who have proven real athletic qualities and for whom there is a written consent from the parents/tutor, signed on the registration form/responsibility declaration, which therefore admits that they are well aware of the rules and conditions of the competition and agree with the registration and participation of the minor.

Available slots:

- 600 slots for Custura, 400 for Buta, 200 for Valea Marii.

Registration:

- The registration for Retezat SkyRace Intersport 2018 is made by completion of the online form, found in the “Registration” section, or by completion of the printed form, available in the validation area, at the event.

-Before signing up, make sure to have read the technical information which present the description of the courses and choose a track which most suits your present sport performance, as later change of the chosen course will no longer be available. The organizing team is at your disposal for any questions you may have regarding the courses, at contact@sportlaoricevarsta.ro or on our Facebook page: Retezat SkyRace Intersport.

Modification of the course or cancelation of the race:

-The organizers have the right to modify the courses (with an alternate course) or even cancel/postpone the race in case the weather does not permit the proceeding of the competition in safe conditions for all the participants (e.g. lightning storm). Nevertheless, in exceptional circumstances, the event can be canceled with a prior notice. The postponing of the race could only be possible for June 17, 2018.

Stopping/withdrawal from the race:

The organizers have the right to stop a participant in the following cases:
- post start injury;
- physical issues restraining them from continuing the race;
- exceptional cases;

Any participant who no longer wishes or is able to continue the race, regardless of reason, should immediately notify the organizers, at the start line, control points, at the finish line or using the emergency numbers.
Withdrawal from the race will be confirmed by the participant by signing the competition form and handing it at the closest control point.

Penalties/disqualification:

- Littering is strictly FORBIDDEN, it will be monitored by volunteers/referees and immediately leads to DISQUALIFICATION;;
- Lacking of any mandatory piece of gear -disqualification;
- Missing any of the control points or not following the entire course - disqualification;
- Not following the competition rules- disqualification;
- Unsportsmanlike conduct towards fellow participants, race officials, spectators, other people - disqualification;
-Modification or change of the race bibs - disqualification;
The race contribution will not be refunded in case of disqualification.

Safety:

- Road traffic will be totally restricted during the competition in the urban area, but the dirt roads could be subject to traffic as follows: cars, bicycles, tourists or animals.

- Any accident involving participants from Retezat SkyRace Intersport, taking place during the race proceedings due to not following the competition rules or the traffic behavior laws will be exclusively under the responsibility of the ones involved in the accident.

- Participants are directly responsible for taking part in the competition. The organizers are free of any kind of obligation in case of injuries. The start/finish area will be equipped with a first aid point, as well as an ambulance, where, be it the case, emergency care will be performed.

-The organizers are free of any responsibility regarding the loss of any objects during the competition.

Your race contribution implies the following benefits:

- Race pack: personalised race bib, INTERSPORT personalised technical tshirt, other materials. In some cases, the tshirt size may differ from the chosen one;
- Individual chrono, electronic display, individual videofinish;
- Support points for Custura and Buta courses, where water, energizers, fruits, etc will be available.;
- Revitalization in the Start/Finish area;
- Online results and electronic certificate ;
- Finisher medal for all the finishers under the limit times;
- Ambulance;
- Prizes money, sport gear or vouchers;
- Lotteries for surprise prizes for all the participants and volunteers at Retezat SkyRace Intersport;
- Photo albums with individual photos of every participant;
- Sound system and event presenter DJ Cătălin Sănătescu;
-after race traditional dish and wine tasting from Corcova Roy & Damboviceanu;
- Party Saturday evening, after the ceremony;
- Other benefits which will be announced on the official Facebook page of the event.

-If, for a reason, you wish to cancel the participation at the event, please notify this to the organizers at contact@sportlaoricevarsta.ro , our resources will be more efficiently used.

-The race contribution is NON REFUNDABLE and shall not be considered as contribution to any other event organized by us.

-You have the possibility to transfer your slot to another person, notifying us at contact@sportlaoricevarsta.ro, before June 8, 2018, 12PM. It is therefore strictly your responsibility to find a person for making the transfer to.

After June 8, 2018, no modification shall be accepted, due to organizing reasons.

- Sports shoes (mountain running shoes, mandatory);

- Windstopper. (obligatoriu);

- Upper and lower body rain gear, long sleeve tshirt (recommended in case of bad weather);

- Headband/Beanie/Cap (recommended);

- Race bib, visible at all times (mandatory);

- Hydration waistband or backpack (recommended);

-Trekking poles (recommended);

In case of bad weather, the organizers have the right to impose mandatory gear, notifying the participants upon the changes and new information no later than the race briefing the evening before the start and will randomly check, prior to the start, the presence of the gear.

The lack of any of the mandatory pieces of gear will lead to withdrawal from the race and disqualification, be it noticed during the event by the volunteers/referees!

Despre organizarea evenimentului:

- Declaratia de responsabilitate trebuie descărcată înainte, printată, completată de fiecare participant si înmanata Organizatorilor la ridicarea kitului;

- Revizuirea listei de participanți și validarea lor se va face în data de 15 iunie 2018 între orele 16:00-23:00 și/sau pe 16 iunie 2018 între orele 07:00 - 08:00;

- Organizatorul poate acorda oricand wildcarduri unor sportivi recunoscuți care doresc să participe la competiție, peste cele 1200 de locuri disponibile;

- După 08.06.2018 nu se mai fac înscrieri online, pe mail sau prin telefon și nu rezervăm kituri pentru cei care promit sa vină la concurs;

- Înainte, în timpul și după concurs se pot face fotografii și materiale video cu concurenții și/sau spectatorii evenimentului. Prin înscrierea și participarea la cursă aceștia accepta implicit ca materialele pot fi folosite de către organizatori în realizarea de clipuri, colaje, cover-uri și/sau alte produse publicitare pentru promovarea concursului, a Vaii Jiului și a Parcului National Retezat. Există posibilitatea ca fotografii noștri oficiali să nu-i poată prinde în cadru pe toți participanții, vom compensa aceasta cu multe linkuri ale celorlalți fotografi;

- Fotografiile si rezultatele de la Retezat SkyRace Intersport reprezinta documente cu caracter public si pot fi folosite in demersuri statistice, jurnalistice, de cercetare fara acordul prealabil al participantilor;

- Toți participanții sunt obligați să prezinte un act de identitate în momentul ridicarii kitului și să înmâneze organizatorului declarația de responsabilitate (completată și semnată anterior). Prin înscrierea la această competiție, concurenții acceptă automat regulamentul acesteia;

- Noutățile despre cursă le vom posta pe paginile noastre de Facebook, așadar vă invităm să fiți la curent cu toate informațiile dând un Like paginii Sport La Orice Varsta și paginii Retezat SkyRace Intersport. În săptămâna anterioară desfășurării cursei toți participanții cu adresa de email valida vor primi prin poșta electronică tot ceea ce trebuie sa știe despre concurs;

- Participanții/voluntarii care câstigă premii la extragere și nu sunt prezenți pierd premiile, la fel și câștigătorii curselor care nu participă la festivitatea de premiere (indiferent dacă premiul este în bani, echipament sportiv sau vouchere).

Despre competiția sportivă:

- Ședința tehnică va avea loc în data de 15 iunie 2018 la ora 20:00. Vă recomandăm să participați și să acordați atenție ședinței tehnice, în cadrul ei se vor comunica toate informațiile necesare participării în bune condiții la Retezat SkyRace Intersport;

- Startul va avea loc în data de 16 iunie 2018 la ora 9:00 pentru Traseul Custura si la ora 10:00 pentru Traseul Buta si Valea Marii;

- Organizatorii pot refuza participarea la cursa a celor insuficient pregătiți din punct de vedere sportiv, a celor pe care îi consideră a nu avea experiență potrivită traseului la care au ales sa participe, a celor fără echipament obligatoriu la start;

- Numărul de concurs trebuie să fie atașat în fața și în mod obligatoriu trebuie sa fie vizibil pe toată perioada concursului. Pierderea numărului de concurs duce la descalificare;

- Cronometrajul se va face individual, iar clasamentele vor fi disponibile imediat după concurs și în zilele următoare cursei. Dacă doi concurenți ajung în același timp la Finish, unul va primi premiul pentru locul x iar celălalt pentru locul x+1;

- Ajutorul din exterior (alimente, energizante, bețe, haine, etc.) este permis doar în punctele de revitalizare de pe traseu;

- Sunt permise scurtăturile făcute pe o distanță mai mică de 15 m doar în cazul în care s-a creat ambuteiaj. Altfel, cel care va fi observat scurtând traseul marcat de organizatori va primi o penalizare de 3 minute la fiecare scurtătura făcută;

- Deși toate traseele vor fi marcate foarte bine cu bandă de semnalizare vă rugăm ca în cazul în care nu mai vedeti timp de cateva minute banda să vă întoarceți la ultimul marcaj văzut și să continuati de acolo;

- Orice concurent nemulțumit cu privire la poziția din clasament poate face dupa înstiințarea verbală a organizatorilor și contestație în scris (plătind suma de 300 de lei) până sâmbată 16.06.2018 ora 17.00, decizia care se va da de către organizatori (pe loc sau in săptamâna următoare cursei) fiind definitivă și de necontestat;

Despre contribuția de participare:

- Validarea plății contribuției de participare trebuie sa apară în tabelul de participanți în maxim 3 zile lucratoare de la efectuarea plății, în caz contrar va rugăm să ne trimiteti o atenționare la contact@sportlaoricevarsta.ro;

- Dacă doriți decontarea contribuției de participare pe persoana juridică, vă rugăm să ne trimițeti ÎNAINTE de a face orice plată datele complete de facturare la contact@sportlaoricevarsta.ro, noi o sa vă trimitem tot pe email factura scanată pe baza căreia trebuie sa faceți viramentul din contul respectivei persoane juridice, iar originalul il veți primi la concurs. Atenție, dacă faceți plata din contul personal nu mai emitem ulterior factură pe o persoana juridică.

Despre kitul de participare:

- Kitul de participare se ridică doar personal pe 15 și 16 iunie 2018 de către participantul înscris online, pe baza unui act de identitate și al înmânării declarației de participare la eveniment completate și semnate;

- Nu trimitem kitul prin poștă și nu comercializăm kituri;

- Dacă, la sfarșitul cursei, vor rămane pachete de start neridicate de concurenți acestea vor fi împarțite în ordine celor înscriși la fața locului care nu au avut kitul complet, iar apoi voluntarilor concursului.

- The organizers have the right to refuse the registration and participation at the event of any athlete prior detected positive by the National Anti-Doping Agency or by any other anti-doping accredited institution, and therefore sanctioned, even if they might have ended the sanction period;

- Athletes who will have benefited from monetary rewards and will be positively tested and then sanctioned by any accredited anti-doping institution in the 6 months following the competition are obliged to return the prizes.

- Before arriving at the event, any and all participants should print and fill in the responsibility declaration. In order to pick the race pack, participants should hand in the forms (prior printed and filled in), and present an ID card.

- By registering for Retezat SkyRace Intersport, participants automatically accept having carefully read and understood the present Regulations and all the information on the official website, that they fully agree to them, as well as agreeing to not claiming anything that should contradict the Regulations or any other official information in any way..

- Not having carefully read the Regulations and other official information on the website can not be interpreted as lack of information, recommendations, rules from the organizers of Retezat SkyRace Intersport, and participants who register for the race without acknowledging all of the present information are directly responsible for any possible incidents caused by this, before, during and after the event .

- Participants' absence from the pre-race briefing, held on June 15, 2018, 8PM, could lead to missing vital information, which may negatively impact the participation at the event. Please find out about any details and pieces of information from the race briefing, by asking other participants or the organizers, in case of absence.
